Former WBC Super Featherweight queen Jelena Mrdjenovich (23-4-1, 11KOs) will look to even the score against New York's Ann-Marie Saccurato (14-3-2, 6KOs) with the WBC Women's Lightweight championship on the line November 13th at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta.

Saccurato, the current WBC title holder, defeated Mrdjenovich back in November 2006 by way of split decision to win the vacant title. Since that night, she's won 2 of 4 bouts including spliting a pair of bout with Japan's Fujin Raika, a loss to the incredible Holly Holm, and an impressive KO of Canadian Jessica Rakoczy, considered the best female Lightweight in the world.

Following the Saccurato bout in 2006, Mrdjenovich continued to reign as WBC Super Featherweight champion, defending her title 3 more times before losing it via decision to fellow Canuck Olivia Gerula in April. Sandwiched between those defeats is a split decision loss to rival Layla McCarter in a bid to capture the WBA Lightweight title.

Supporting the Mrdjenovich-Saccurato rematch will be bout that promises to be all that it has been built up to be. Canadian Cruiserweight champion Frank White (7-2-1, 5KOs) will defend his crown against the man whom he defeated for it, Ryan Henney (13-3, 8KOs) of Saskatoon. Henney won the initial encounter, stopping White in round 6 back June 2006. Two year later (almost to the day), White removed the moniker of champion from Henney, out fighting the Hitman over 10 rounds, again in front of an Edmonton audience at the Shaw. White-Henney III will surely be worth the price of admission alone.

The rest of the undercard will be announced shortly.
