In the Main Event of the lastest installment of United Promotions 2010 Professional Boxing series, “Mighty” Tebor Brosch took on Justin “The Matrix” Fountain in an all Ontario Welterweight battle for the vacant CPBC Canadian title!

Fountain started off well in the opening stanza, outboxing his Ontario counterpart, consistently landing the jab with the occasional right hand following it. The early assault started to cause some redness to form around Brosch’s face. Brosch seemed to turn things around late in the round, and while he was being outlanded by Fountain, his punches were clearly doing some damage as well.

Fountain again came out guns blazin’ to start the second however Brosch’s connects late in the round opened up a cut above the left eye of Fountain in a closely contested round.

Just one round later, Fountain returned the favour landing a crashing blow that opened up a cut under Brosch’s right eye!

The battle heated up through rounds four and five. Both fighters had their moments, trading hard jabs, hooks and body shots. Midway through the fourth round, Fountain would find himself on the canvas however referee Rocky Zolnierczyk ruled it a slip.

In a fight that had been action packed throughout the first five rounds, most in attendance expected the fatigue to start playing a roll however both fighters actually took it up a notch in round six. Splashes of blood filled the air as each fighter landed their power shots. A clash of heads left Fountain with a nasty gash on his right eye brow, deemed so by the referee. The cut was in a bad location, pouring blood into Fountain's eye and obscuring his vision for the rest of the fight.

The sight of Fountain's bloody face seem to invigorate Brosch who punished his foe to close out the round. Brosch continue to dish it out to start the seventh round. As a result, his blonde hair began to turn red, absorbing the crimson from Fountain as the two fought in close quarters. There would be no quite in Fountain, as he tried to give back as much as he was taking. While he was being outlanded, he did manage to open up another cut on Brosch, a nice cut above the left eye as the round came to a close.

After seven rounds, both fights had taken the others best and now sported cuts over both eyes. The ringside doctor made his second consecutive visit to Fountain's corner, trying to inspect the damage done to Fountain's right eye. On the advice of the doctor, referee Rocky Zolnierczyk called a halt to the contest and due to the accidental clash of heads, the bout went to the scorecards to decide upon the winner.

The judges were split in deciding a winner, while one judge had Fountain ahead after 7 rounds by a score of 67-66, the other two judges overruled him, scoring the bout 68-66 and 68-65 in favor of Tebor Brosch. With the victory, Brosch become the new CPBC Canadian Welterweight champion!

The notoriously "safety first" Ontario Athletic Commission may have actually made the right choice in stopping this particular bout at the time that they did. Fountain's right eye wasnt getting any better and his no longer fought with the same intensity as he did before the nasty cut.

It was a wild finish to an absolutely action packed card of Professional Boxing! Look for United Promotions next “Undisputed” Pro Boxing Event in Ontario, Canada slated for later this year in September.
