Sometimes you cant take what james says to seriously. He is very old school and a hard a$$! He grew up tough and always had an attitude as far back as I can remember. I think it helped him alot in his career because hes his biggest cheer leader. he believes in himself. For a guy that small to move up to heavyweight and fight real heavyweights when he was fat and beating theme with pure talent is something special. What he did to Holyfield, Ruiz, and his first fight with Samuel Peters back when Samuel was a monster and a devastating punsher was amazing! Alot of old school fighters have harsh opinions about other fighters and fighters from outside the u.s because of the difference in styles. Archie Moore was a real hard a$$ with a tough opinion to

As Mike said, Toney is old school. One of the last of the last generation trained by old time methods. I used to think that any old time fighter could beat any modern fighter, no question. Now, I'm not so sure. So many boxers these days starting out later in life and so many performing well in their 30s and even 40s. You almost never saw that before. Archie Moore was considered a freak for being able to do it. I take Toney with a bucket of salt.
